We would help transform the health of kids everywhere. HSC Winnipeg Children’s Hospital cares for the sickest and most critically ill children in Manitoba, Northwestern Ontario and Nunavut. Over 130,000 kids visit the hospital each year. As the only hospital in the province with specialized, acute pediatric services, the hospital touches most families in the province. We all have a vested interest in ensuring it provides the best care possible.
Since 1971, the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba has inspired and rallied donors like you to raise more than $100 million to improve the lives of sick and injured children at HSC Children's. Funding supports important programs that bring comfort to sick children during difficult times, the purchase of life-saving equipment, and the advancement of pediatric health research at our Children's Hospital Research Institute of Manitoba that will improve the lives of children everywhere. You can help kids like Gianna.
Watching your child be born at 27 weeks and immediately rushed to the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) is a scary moment for parents, but Tes and Philip Eusebio stayed positive throughout the ordeal.
While pregnant, Tes learned that she had preeclampsia, a condition where her blood pressure was extremely high, which led to her daughter becoming sick and needing to be born at 27 weeks. Gianna was just over a pound when she was born and had to go directly to the NICU. Gianna was experiencing congestive heart failure. Despite the rough start that Gianna endured, Tes attributes the great care she received at HSC Children’s Hospital for her daughter being here today. You can help kids like Gianna by supporting Children's Hospital Foundation of Manitoba. Learn more about Gianna at https://goodbear.ca/read-our-stories/gianna/.
