Why I support Mac

Two years ago my son and my family became intimately involved with McMaster Youth Mental Health. I cannot describe how painful and heartbreaking this was as a parent, but my heartache does not compare to the internal struggle that my dear son experienced at 15. But he was brave, and he asked for help. He received it at Mac. He received it because he asked to go there. He knew he would find help because other kids he knew found help. They are literally lifesavers - of not just the children but entire families. I am asking for any financial support you can give and to repost to spread awareness of this lifesaving unit. Thank you.

Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation in support of McMaster Children’s Hospital is committed to helping children and youth who are struggling with mental illness by funding the programs, spaces, and research needed to make a vital difference for patients and their families. McMaster Children's Hospital, including Ron Joyce Children's Centre operates the largest child & youth mental health program in Canada with both an inpatient and outpatient program.

Proudly serving families throughout south-central Ontario stretching from Burlington to Kitchener-Waterloo, Niagara to Guelph: McMaster Children's Hospital provides a range of acute and outpatient care with nearly 270,000 patient visits last year.
