RBC Race for the Kids, Starting September 5, Help Us Race To The Finish!

Support Our Kids’ Mental Health.

Join us starting September 5 for the 2024 RBC Race for the Kids, "Race to the Finish”.  It’s not a physical race, but a race to provide critical resources that help kids struggling with their mental health. This year, rather than a walk, run or hike to raise funds, it’s about purchasing tangible items like personal care kits, art supplies, healthy food boxes, and more—each one a lifeline for a young person in our care at RVH.

Together we can make a difference!

Invest in Kids' Mental Health Now. Build Strong Futures.

It’s no secret that the impact of the pandemic on our kids’ mental health is ongoing. They are facing unprecedented mental health challenges, with high rates of anxiety, depression, and other conditions caused by prolonged disruption and isolation during some of their most formative years.

At RVH, home to the region’s only Child and Youth Mental Health program, we’re committed to providing vital, lifesaving care for our community’s kids. Last year, 75% of all health centre admissions for kids aged 11 to 17 were because of a mental health crisis.

What You Can Do Right Now.

This year, instead of a traditional virtual race, we're launching a new initiative for the 2024 RBC Race for the Kids. It's a race against time to fund critical resources that directly support the mental health of children and youth in our community. Your support will provide tangible items like personal care kits, art supplies, healthy food boxes, and more—each one a lifeline for a young person in our care at RVH. You can browse all the gifts available below.

Join us as we race to deliver the care our kids deserve, giving them all they need to heal, recover, and go on to live healthy, fulfilling lives.

*Your gift directly supports the Child and Youth Mental Health program at RVH.
