What is RBC Race for the Kids?

What started as a single Race in New York in 2009, RBC Race for the Kids has grown into a series of 25+ events that take place around the world. More than 360,000 participants have raised over $82 million CAD for youth charities across the globe.

This year, you can participate one of two ways!

  1. Sign up for the live in-person RBC Race for the Kids event in your community
  2. Or sign up for the virtual RBC Race for the Kids Weekend on October 14-15, joining participating communities where no in-person events are taking place.

Either way you, and your friends and family, can support a local youth charity and be part of RBC Race for the Kids.

How do I log my activity?

You can log your distance in two ways:

  • Link your page to a fitness tracker

We are linked to Fitbit, MapMyFitness, and Garmin which automatically sync with your fundraising page. It adds to your kilometre tracker each time you record an activity – training or Race weekend!

You can use your smartphone to download Fitbit, mapmyfitness or Strava to get started. After creating an account with your preferred app, login to your account and head to the ‘My Fitness Activity’ tab to connect to your fitness app and follow the promptsto connect your account.

Your distance will be published on your page the following day (please allow up to 24 hours).

Note for Fitbit users – you must ‘start’ an activity and save it as an activity (ie. your daily steps or distance will not be automatically added to your page).

  • Log your distance manually

To log your distance manually, simply login to your online fundraising page and head to the ‘My Fitness Activity’ to record your activity.
