The IWK Foundation will issue tax receipts once the web page closes following RBC Race for the Kids.
Is there an official race?
No, however we encourage you to gather your friends and family and get outside together.

What is RBC Race for the Kids?
What started as a single Race in New York in 2009, RBC Race for the Kids has grown into a series of 25+ events that take place around the world. More than 360,000 participants have raised over $82 million CAD for youth charities across the globe.
This year, you can participate one of two ways!
- Sign up for the live in-person RBC Race for the Kids event in your community
- Or sign up for the virtual RBC Race for the Kids Weekend on October 19-20, joining participating communities where no in-person events are taking place.
Either way you, and your friends and family, can support a local youth charity and be part of RBC Race for the Kids.

Where is RBC Race for the Kids taking place?
In 2024, RBC Race for the Kids is offering multiple ways to participate, with in-person Races throughout the year, as well as one Virtual Race Weekend on October 19-20 in participating regions.

When is RBC Race for the Kids?
In 2024, RBC Race for the Kids in-person Races are taking place throughout the year around the world, and virtually on October 19-20. In-person vs. virtual opportunities are determined by regional considerations in conjunction with our charity partners.

How much does it cost to enter RBC Race for the Kids?
Some RBC Race for the Kids events are free while others require a registration fee and/or minimum donation to get started. Please refer to your local Race page to understand the costs associated with your particular event.
Do I have to fundraise?
Specific Races may include a minimum fundraising total. Please refer to your local Race page for specific fundraising details.
Who are your Race charity partners?
A list of all RBC Race for the Kids charity partners can be found on our homepage. Participants can choose to support any of our Race charity partners, regardless of where they physically live.
How far is RBC Race for the kids?
Each RBC Race for the Kids event will specify the format (in-person or virtual) and the distance options available to participants.
Do I have to run?
Feel free to walk, run, or roll your way through your Race! RBC Race for the Kids is about thousands of people coming together to support amazing youth-focused causes. If you would prefer to support with a donation without physically participating, each Race provides that option as well.
Can children take part?
Yes! RBC Race for the Kids prides itself in being geared towards fun for the whole family. You will be asked to enter basic information about your underage participants in the registration process but this won’t be publicly displayed – it’s just so we can capture how many amazing people took part to support their communities.
How old do I have to be to sign up?
There’s no age limit – everyone is welcome! If you are under the age of 18 you will need a parent or guardian’s consent to sign up.
Fundraising
Can I make a one-time donation, even if I don’t participate in the event?
Of course! Our charity partners need your help more than ever. If walking, running, or rolling isn’t for you, you can still consider making a one-time donation to your local Race charity to support kids and youth in need.

Where do the funds go that I raise?
In 2024, RBC Race for the Kids will support 25+ charities around the world with a specific focus on kids and youth mental health causes. A full list can be found on our homepage here. Based on where you live, some regions may have multiple Races and charity partners to you can choose to support.
