The charity I am supporting is the CHEO Foundation.

Ever since I started medical school and beyond, I had the privilege of supporting and helping to treat many individuals in need of mental health services. There is still a long way to go to ensure everyone, including children and youth, have timely access to holistic and culturally safe mental health services in the region they live in. Help CHEO residents raise funds for the RBC Race for the Kids and be treated to hilarious Instagram/Twitter/Tik Tok/etc. content of us trying to run [socially distant] post-call.

Your donation will ensure each patient has access to the care that will be most beneficial for them, regardless of their age or the reason for their visit.

Please consider making a donation to our page.

Rain or Shine

Friday 9th Oct
Well ladies, gentlemen and non-binary folks; yesterday, I had an impromptu half-kilometer run in the downpour from my car parked at CHEO all the way to the entrance of the medical school (RGN). Needless to say, I showed up to my teaching session soaked to the bone. Was it worth it? Absolutely. It's a privilege to watch and help our future doctors learn and practice their clinical skills.

I managed to squeeze in a mindfulness run at the end of the day using my Nike Run Club application. There was the option to download a 25min mindfulness run created with Nike coaches and Headspace, and it was the cherry on top of a good day.

Hoping to post more updates soon! Thank you to everyone who has donated and/or joined our running team!
