Mental illness is the second leading cause of death for children aged 10-19. McMaster Children's Hospital Foundation is committed to helping children and youth who are struggling with mental illness by funding the programs, spaces and research needed to make a vital difference for patients and their families. McMaster Children's Hospital including Ron Joyce Children's Health Centre operate the largest child & youth mental health program in Canada, including both an inpatient and outpatient program.
Proudly serving families througout south-central Ontario stretching from Burlington to Kitchener-Waterloo, Niagara to Guelph: McMaster Children's Hospitals provided a range of acute and outpatient care during nearly 270,000 patient visits last year.

McMaster Children's Hospital Foundation, as part of Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation, provides vital funding to enable the best possible patient care at McMaster Children’s Hospital, including Ron Joyce Children’s Health Centre and McMaster University Medical Centre. The Foundation inspires and motivates gifts that fund medical equipment and patient amenities, innovative research initiatives, essential redevelopment of clinical care spaces, and the education and training of health care providers.
McMaster Children’s Hospital is the second largest provider of inpatient pediatric services in Ontario. The Hospital is home to Canada’s largest neonatal intensive care unit including supportive maternal care, the largest pediatric mental health program in Canada, and the only inpatient pediatric cancer program in south-central Ontario.
RBC Global Virtual Race for the Kids, supporting youth
charities around the world
Over the past decade, the RBC Race for the Kids series has grown to include 17 charitable events raising more than $57 million for our local charity partners. This year, the COVID-19 pandemic means most of our physical Races can’t happen so welcome to the first ever RBC Global Virtual Race for the Kids. Our ambition is to create the world’s biggest, virtual family fun run in support of over 30 youth charities to help them continue their incredible work at this challenging time.
