Mental Health Matters!
Jim Pattison Children's Hospital Foundation is a proud partner in this year's virtual RBC Race for the Kids in Saskatchewan. Your support will help fund the Saskatchewan Tele-Help therapy program, providing Saskatchewan children struggling with anxiety and behaviour challenges, virtual evidence based professional care while they are on a very long waiting list, giving them access to care and hope for a brighter future today. Children and youth are facing a mental health crisis. It's up to all of us to work together to help them NOW! Give generously by supporting Jim Pattison Children's Hospital Foundation and Saskatchewan children and families.

Virtual Hospital Tour Video
Twenty per cent of Canadian youth are affected by mental illness. "It feels kinda annoying and frustrating to have anxiety,” says Maddox, age 13. “It’s annoying because it can be overwhelming to do things that have come easily before, and then worrying about things that don’t need to be worried about, and not being able to shut your brain off is annoying and frustrating.” While there are many challenges in working on your mental health, like long wait times and difficulties navigating the health care system, Maddox wants everyone to know, “Don’t be embarrassed about needing help for mental health. I have had more counsellors then I can remember, and I enjoy talking to them when I'm able to and doing work with them, and it helps! The counsellors, medicine, my doctor, and my friends and family have helped a lot."
