Support brighter futures for children through education
October 1st - October 2nd
For disadvantaged children living in Ireland - Education is everything. It can be the difference between a lifetime of poverty and a lifetime of reaching their potential.
Since 2016, basis.point has impacted the lives of over 30,000 children and young adults coming from challenging home environments by pledging over €4 million toward evidenced based programmes helping children and young adults reach their potential through education.
OUR COLLECTIVE IMPACT

For children living in disadvantage in Ireland things can be very difficult. Battling with unstable family circumstances, often intergenerational unemployment, addiction issues, street violence, drug and gang culture, life was challenging enough - then with the Pandemic many of their safe spaces were taken from them – school, youth clubs, breakfast clubs and youth services – all shut down. Our most marginalised children suffered in silence 3 in 10 children in Ireland live in poverty, with thousands of homeless children living in hotels, hostels, homeless hubs and direct provision centres.
RBC Race for the Kids, supporting youth charities around the world
Over the past decade, the RBC Race for the Kids series has grown to include 35 charitable events raising more than $74 million for local charity partners.
RBC is supporting virtual and live family fun runs all over the world in 2022. Please join a race close to you and help these amazing youth charities continue their important work.
Thank you for your support!
Our mission is to create an Ireland where every child, no matter their background, has the chance to reach their potential through education.
An education is a child’s passport to a healthier future. An education opens up a path to better choice, more opportunities, enhanced personal development, stronger relationships, a chance at better career paths but most of all better physical and mental health.
Support brighter futures for teen girls through education
Your funding will support teen girls from under-resourced communities to cross the digital divide.
We are teaming up with Teen-Turn, who work with teen girls, providing training and encouragement to achieve third level qualifications in STEM related subjects.
Approximately 1500 girls participate in a range of Teen-Turn programmes and yet, only 30% have their own devices.
Your funding will provide laptops and tablets, enabling them to fully participate in the Teen-Turn programmes and prepare them to join the workforce of the knowledge economy
