Creating Hope and Opportunity for Youth.
The All Stars Project is a national nonprofit organization that believes all young people – no matter their age, race, where they come from, or their GPA – deserve the opportunity to grow and develop. Through innovative and award-winning programs – like our business and leadership training program the Development School for Youth (DSY) – the All Stars helps expose young people to a new world of possibilities for themselves, and together with caring corporate partners like RBC Capital Markets, teach them the skills to act on these new possibilities and succeed.
The All Stars reaches over 20,000 inner-city youth and their families nationwide with our free afterschool development programs. Through our programs, young people grow on stage and in life. At the All Stars, we bring people together who don’t normally come together—creating new conversations and relationships where everyone grows!
OUR COLLECTIVE IMPACT
Runners signed up
Together with caring partners like RBC, our Development School for Youth (DSY) program focuses on exposing young people ages 16-21 to the business world, while teaching them the skills they’ll need to succeed in it. DSY graduates, many of who are still in high school, then go on to paid summer internships with our partners to further their professional development and experience.
RBC leaders have hosted dozens of workshops and mock job interviews for hundreds of young people, and RBC has sponsored 16 internships in NYC, Jersey City, Chicago, Dallas, and the San Francisco Bay Area for All Stars youth. Though the world has changed in response to the COVID-19 crisis, the All Stars has been able to pivot our programming to be completely virtual and continue to work with corporate partners to provide professional development workshops and piloting virtual internships around the country.
RBC Global Virtual Race for the Kids, supporting youth
charities around the world
Over the past decade, the RBC Race for the Kids series has grown to include 17 charitable events raising more than $57 million for our local charity partners. This year, the COVID-19 pandemic means most of our physical Races can’t happen so welcome to the first ever RBC Global Virtual Race for the Kids. Our ambition is to create the world’s biggest, virtual family fun run in support of over 30 youth charities to help them continue their incredible work at this challenging time.
